The Winners

Following the 25th Anniversary of the Aberdeen Ladies Invitation the competition committee decided to change the entry process to an open entry. This allowed a greater number of teams to enter while still maintaining a high standard of competition.

 

A new competition meant new sponsors and a new trophy were needed. Thanks must go to our sponsors, Mint Energy, The Murray Montgomery Partnership and Kutchenhaus.

 

Huge thanks must also go to Judith and Andy Carr who gifted a beautiful new trophy on behalf of their Granddaugher Amber Perras.

 

Aberdeen Ladies Open new trophy





Such great sponsorship of the competition this year has allowed a prize fund of £900. After 4 games played in the schenkel system, the top two teams in each section played for 1st and 2nd place, the second two teams for 3rd and 4th place, and the third two teams for 5th and 6th place.  The winners of the first Aberdeen Ladies Open were Becca Kesley (skip), Lesley Young, Rhiann Macleod and Rachel Hannen.
